I picked up my new MCS with HK sound system (my 3rd Mini), and after nearly a week of driving, my opinion is that the HK is, well, disappointing. This is particulary difficult because the base stereo system seems to have benefitted from some tweaking in the 2003. The BMW iX3 Premier Pro/M Sport Pro models house a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system that outputs 600 Watts of power. The system excels in the mid-bass and high frequencies, while also providing an engaging soundstage with the Logic 7 Surround technology. However, it lacks a physical subwoofer in the boot and is slightly recessed in the Harman Kardon Speaker Upgrades. Does anyone have a Bavarian Soundwerks speaker set upgrade for their HK speakers? I understand it includes 8 speakers but does not include the 2 subs in the reardeck enclosure.
